Tendring Brass at Pride of Tendring Award Evening March 2019

Pride of Tendring 2019 3Tendring Brass  were invited, by the Chairman of Tendring District Council to again play at this years Pride of Tendring Award Ceremony at the Prince’s Theatre, Town Hall, Clacton-on-sea on Friday 22nd March.

This event, hosted by Tendring District Council is an annual event during which individuals or groups who have made a positive impact in the life of the District are presented with awards.Quite often these are people whose work is not recognised, and this event is to ensure that they are.

Under the baton of a guest conductor David Hammond, the Band played a selection of pieces to entertain the audience at the event, and as each of the award recipients entered the stage, the Band played the ‘Tendring Fanfare’.

The ‘Tendring Fanfare’  is a specially composed piece for the Band, by associate band member, Craig Sanders, who is a member of HM Royal Marines Band Service.
