During the second national lock down Tendring Brass were invited to attend a new initiative launched by the Royal Marines Band Service. 28 Members from all four bands (ages ranging from 8 upwards) enjoyed a very informative masterclass entitled “Using Practise Time Efficiently”. The masterclass was hosted by Cpl Craig Sanders (percussion) ably assisted by LCpl Matt Fletcher (Euphonium) who guided us through some of the different strategies he has found useful to enhance the practicing process.
Both Matt and Craig have had successful careers in Brass Banding. Matt formally playing for the Cory Band and Craig (a former Tendring Brass member) currently plays with the Flowers Band.
With this initial success Tendring Brass are looking forward to further masterclasses in the future with The Royal Marines Band Service.
